Leaf

 मूलतो ब्रह्मरूपाय मध्यतो विष्णुरूपिणे ।

अग्रतः शिवरूपाय ह्येकबिल्वं शिवार्पणम् ॥ ८॥
mūlato brahmarūpāya madhyato viṣṇurūpiṇe .
agrataḥ śivarūpāya hyekabilvaṃ śivārpaṇam .. 8..
Worshipping Lord Shiva with a leaf from the Bilva tree which represents Brahma, the creator in the root portion
Vishnu, the sustainer in the middle portion
And Shiva, the destroyer in the top portion
One can derive Supreme benefit.
I offer one leaf of Bilva to Lord Shiva.
मूलतः (mūlataḥ) – from the root; ब्रह्मरूपाय (brahmarūpāya) – to Brahma form (brahma:Brahma | rūpāya:to the form); मध्यतः (madhyataḥ) – from the middle; विष्णुरूपिणे (viṣṇurūpiṇe) – to Vishnu form (viṣṇu:Vishnu | rūpiṇe:to the form); अग्रतः (agrataḥ) – from the front; शिवरूपाय (śivarūpāya) – to Shiva form (śiva:Shiva | rūpāya:to the form); हि (hi) – indeed; एकबिल्वं (ekabilvaṃ) – one Bilva leaf (eka:one | bilvaṃ:Bilva leaf); शिवार्पणम् (śivārpaṇam) – offering to Shiva (śiva:Shiva | arpaṇam:offering);
